Welcome to the New Hampshire Modern Quilt Guild!
Thank you for your interest in the NHMQG! We're a community of quilters of all skill levels who share a passion for modern quilting. Whether you're new to quilting or a seasoned pro, you'll find inspiration, connection, and creativity here.
Membership is open to anyone interested in modern quilting. Our active calendar includes guest speakers, workshops, sew-alongs, group sew-ins, and more. We also offer virtual access to select events and workshops, so members who can't attend in person can still participate.
As a member, you’ll enjoy:
- Free admission to monthly guild meetings
- Access to guild activities like challenges, swaps, and block exchanges
- Membership in the national Modern Quilt Guild
- Member-only retreats and sew-ins
- Special events featuring speakers and workshops
Interested in seeing what we’re all about?
We’d love to have you join us! Your first meeting is completely free as our guest. After that, you have two options:
- Attend one more meeting for just $5
- Or request to join our membership waitlist at any time
Membership Dues:
Annual dues for January through December 2025 are $70 per year. If you join later in the year, dues are adjusted accordingly.

Waitlist Information
The New Hampshire Modern Quilt Guild is currently at full membership capacity. We maintain a waitlist and offer spots as they become available—typically at the start of each calendar year.
If you're interested in joining, we encourage you to get on the waitlist by emailing us at nhmodernquilt@gmail.com.
While you're on the waitlist, you're still welcome to:
- Attend one meeting for free, and
- Join us for one additional meeting for just $5.
Please Note: All invitations to join are sent via email in the order people joined the waitlist. Be sure to check your inbox (and spam folder) for messages from nhmodernquilt@gmail.com, and add us to your contacts to avoid missing important updates.
Our Guild Bylaws are available here. Any amendments to the bylaws are subject to member approval through a vote. If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to email us nhmodernquilt@gmail.com.
Nonprofit Status and Self-Promotion Policy
The New Hampshire Modern Quilt Guild is an affiliate member of the Modern Quilt Guild Inc. Through a group exemption with the Modern Quilt Guild Inc., we are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our nonprofit status means that we work to serve a public purpose, rather than to provide financial benefit to any particular individual or group. We get together at monthly general meetings and other events to socialize and to encourage and educate quilters of all levels of experience. We enjoy sharing our work with each other and want to hear about your successes in modern quilting. If your work appears in a magazine or if you perfected your binding technique, we want to hear about it and celebrate with you! Our events are not marketing opportunities, however, and we ask that members not advertise their own goods and services during these events. Please use your best judgment and direct any questions to board members.
