October 2019 Meeting Reminder

Our October meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 15th at 7pm!! Doors open at 6:45ish if you would like to come early for some pre-meeting sew-cializing! Programming: How do I quilt it?! If you have a quilt top that you're getting ready to quilt, bring it to the meeting and take advantage of our group to get some suggestions and tips! QuiltCon Blocks: The blocks for our 2020 QuiltCon quilt are due at at our October meeting, Tuesday October 15th. If you aren't able to make it to the meeting and are unable to pass your blocks off to another member before the meeting, please let Trish or Patty know so they can try to coordinate with you.  2020 Board: As 2019 draws to a close, it's time to start thinking about our board for 2020. If you are interested in joining the board please let a current board member know and we can all share more information about what we do! If you are interested in a position you can nominate yourself or someone else can nominate you at the October or November meeting. On 11/17 a final list of candidates will be shared and the vote will take place at our December meeting on 12/17. Fall Workshop: Our fall workshop on Free Motion Quilting will take place on Saturday, October 26th. We have reserved Quilted Threads for the workshop! We have the space from 9:30 (9am setup) until 4:30. Lunch will be provided and QT will be giving attendees a 10% discount. The class cost will be $40 which can be paid to Beth via a check or cash at the September meeting or, PayPal is now open at this link.  Summer 2020 Workshop: We will be hosting Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill, of Whole Circle Quilting for a weekend-long event, June 26th and 27th 2020. We will have a class with Sheri on the 26th at Quilted Threads and a trunk show in Manchester on Sunday the 27th. Get excited quilty friends!  Show and Tell: Make sure to bring your finishes for show and tell this month. Remember, each item you bring to show and tell in 2019 enters you into a special year-end raffle that will be drawn in November. December Meeting: Our December Holiday Celebration meeting will take place at Liquid Therapy in downtown Nashua on December 17th. We'll be hosting a traditional style Yankee Swap with a twist! Instead of wrapping a gift please bring a modern-themed gift in a zipper pouch. The pouch can be homemade or purchased! The items inside should be in the $15-$20 range. We'll see you Tuesday!
