Our July meeting will take place on Tuesday July 17th. Swim and Sewcializing begin at 6:30! Our meeting this month will take place at Pat's house in Nashua. Please check your email or email Carolanne <carolannel.donovan@gmail.com> for the address.
Programming: There will be no programming in July. In August we'll be bringing in our favorite notion to share with the group.
Shop Hop: The next shop hop will be in August and Pat will be leading us to Keepsake Quilting! We're also still looking for a leader for September 8th.
Sewing Bee: There are available spaces for our July 15th sewing bee. Please respond to this email if you'd like to attend, or email Ophelia <obchang1@gmail.com>. It's going to be a hot day so we're looking forward to a cool day at the mill to sew!
2019 Workshops: We're still finalizing options for our 2019 combined workshop and there will be a new list being passed around at the meeting with potential teachers. The next round of options are: Rebecca Bryon, Guicy Guice, Jen Hewitt and Lizzy House.
Fall Retreat: Our fall retreat will take place at the Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis Columbus Day weekend, October 5th-October 7th! Payment needs to be received no later than the July meeting. The Paypal link is now live so you can pay online via PayPal or by check to Beth at the July meeting. Any member that has signed up but not paid by the time of the July meeting will not be on the guaranteed rooming list - a room will have to be requested from the hotel with the possibility that the hotel will be fully booked.
Jo Diggs Workshop: We'll be hosting Jo Diggs for a workshop on November 10th at Quilted Threads! The workshop will open for registration at our July meeting and will open online on July 18th. If you'd like to take the class and won't be at the July meeting, please talk to Alison and we can get you signed up early! Pricing will be: $65 for members and $75 for non-members. The materials list will be available at the July meeting,
Giveaways and Raffles: Our giveaway item this month is a Cupcake Mix Recipe booklet.
* Raffle #1: A Finch Box! The Finch Box is a great program organized by The Finch Sewing Studio that sends sewers a great project every other month. The Finch team has generously donated a box to our guild and it's value is over $50! The version they sent us has a rope bowl tutorial and the items to make it, including Liberty of London Bias tape and a tutorial to make adorable kitchen tea towels.
* Raffle #2: Are you excited about the zipper pouch swap? How about a 1 yard cut of zipper fabric with 1 yard cuts of matching solids?! Get excited for zippers all around!
